Tiled Convector Fireplaces
for Gazco living flames convector fires
Here is the ultimate marriage between traditional good looks and up-to-the-minute
technology.
| By making discreet alterations to two classic Victorian fireplaces,
Stovax have preserved the timeless elegance of their designs yet,
at the same time, allowed you to enjoy all the convenience, realism
and efficiency of a New Generation Gazco living flame convector
fire. It is not surprising, therefore that these are amongst the
most popular models. |

Convector efficiency
Gazcos high-efficiency convector system adds recycled warm air
to the direct, radiated heat of the fire. Cool air is drawn in through
the grate, heated in a convection chamber and diffused into the room
through an unobtrusive slot above the fireplace hood. most importantly,
however, this gives you a heating efficiency which is twice that of
a traditional coal fire !
For Properties with no chimney
Even if you don't have a chimney there is still an excellent chance that you can
install a Convector Fire in your home. By utilising the leading edge technology found in
"The new Integral Powered Flue" or "The Gazco
powered flue".
The new Integral Powered Flue 16" VFC Convector
New from Gazco - a fire which has been specifically developed for new cavity walled
properties with no chimney. It makes enjoying all the realism and comfort of a living
flame fire easier than ever before.
The fire's employ a number of technological advancements:
The Gazco Integral Powered Flue Fire's extractor unit is neat, durable and
weatherproof.
Gazco Powered Flue
For properties without a Chimney or a suitable outside cavity wall, you can
still take advantage of a Gazco fire with the Gazco Powered Flue, which offers a neat and
compact alternative to a conventional chimney.
All that is required is that the fire must be positioned within 10' (3 Metres) of an
outside wall, with the flue outlet more than 1' (300mm) from a window.
The extractor unit is electrically mains powered and is operated by a simple
wall-mounted switch. A red light on the switch panel indicates when the fan has reached
operational speed, and it is safe to ignite the fire. As an additional safety feature, the
fire will only burn whilst the fan is operating.
The flue is also acoustically dampened to minimise noise from the fan. The Gazco
Powered Flue can be installed in conjunction with all VFC HE Convector Fires (when
stud-work chimney breast, as shown, is built) and the Canopied Convector Fires.
The Gazco Powered Flue's extractor unit fits neatly to the outside wall of the house,
and has a weatherproof , durable construction.
Added Convenience
For added convenience your VFC fire can be installed with either hand-held
or wall-mounted remote control. In either case the control unit allows
you to switch the fire on and off and to turn it up and down without
having to end down or go anywhere near the fire.
Gazco VFC convector fires are manufactured to the stringent requirements
of the new European safety standard EN509 and bear the CE mark.
