VFC Convector fires
For conventional chimneys
Gazco's New Generation VFC Convector Fires have been totally re-engineered
to bring you even greater realism, efficiency and convenience. Now combining
unbeatable looks with the widest ever choice of features and options
to ensure that you can have exactly the fire you want.
High Efficiency
VFC Convector fires operate by adding convected heat to the normal
radiant heat output. This is achieved by mounting a specially-designed
convection chamber to the rear of the main firebox so that warm air
is convected back into the room, saving you money in the process.
If fact the New Generation VFC High Efficiency Convector Fires are
twice as efficient (heat output per unit of gas used) as a standard
open gas fire.
Principle of Operation
- Clean air from the room is drawn in through the lower intake vents
- The air is heated as it passes through the convection chamber
- Warn air passes out to the room through the top vent
- Ceramic sides for a deep all round glow
Choice of Control Methods
A revolution in gas fire convenience. VFC Convector fires offer you
a unique set control methods to suit you needs.
The switch control offered by the Frame, Wall and Remote options
all operate the ignition system electronically, and thus remove the
need for a permanent gas pilot light.
Manual
The easy-to-operate multi-purpose control knob and sliding variable
flame control are located behind the fire front. It's as simple as
that.
Frame
Switch
The Frame Switch represents a brand new option from Gazco. Two simple
switches - ON/OFF and HIGH/LOW - conveniently situated close to the
top of the frame. They are unobtrusive and make control of either
function quick and easy.
The Frame Switch can only be incorporated into the Standard frame,
and is housed in an attractive slight protrusion (25mm) of the fire
frame.
Wall-mounted
control
An optional extra to the Frame Switch model, the wall-mounted controls
offer the same ON/OFF and HIGH/LOW switches but mounted on an elegant
brass plate, just like a light switch. Recommended to be fitted at
a distance of no more than 3 meters (10') from the fire, but at a
location of your choice.
